This statement applies to the website www.eurocave.swiss, the online store, and our communications with customers, prospects, and partners. It complies with the Swiss Federal Data Protection Act (LPD).

2 Data Used and Purposes

We process your contact information, messages, customer account information, quotes, orders, payment details, and billing or shipping addresses to respond to your requests, send you our catalogs, schedule appointments, and provide our services. For a wine cellar project, we also use the plans, dimensions, photographs, and documents you provide to us. This data is used for sales follow-up, delivery, installation, warranty, and after-sales service.

When you visit the website, technical data is processed, including your IP address, browser, device, the pages you view, and your interactions. This data is used to ensure the website’s operation and security, to track website traffic, and to evaluate advertising campaigns.

The data comes from you, your interactions with our services, and the parties involved in your order or project, including payment providers, carriers, architects, and installers. We also use the information necessary to fulfill our accounting and legal obligations, as well as to handle complaints.

3 Newsletters and Payments

You can sign up for our newsletter to receive our news, tips, and offers. We manage subscriptions and campaigns in Odoo, hosted on Odoo.sh, and use Mailjet to send emails. These services process your email address, the content of the messages, and the information necessary for their delivery. You can unsubscribe for free at any time by clicking the link in the messages or by contacting us. Messages necessary for an order or an ongoing service will continue to be sent to you.

Online payments are available via TWINT, PayPal, or credit card. Technical processing is handled by PostFinance Checkout, with privapay handling card acceptance. The data required for authorizing, tracking, and refunding transactions is transmitted to the relevant parties. Payment providers also conduct their own security, fraud, and legal compliance checks in accordance with their terms and conditions, particularly those of TWINT and PayPal.

4 Cookies and Embedded Services

This site uses cookies and similar technologies to operate the store, remember your choices, secure forms, track traffic, and evaluate advertising campaigns. Some services also receive technical data through web beacons or requests.

Integrated tools include Google Analytics and Ahrefs for traffic analysis, Google Ads and Meta for ad measurement, reCAPTCHA for form protection, Odoo for online chat, Weglot for translation, as well as YouTube and Google Maps for videos and maps. 5 Recipients and Processing Abroad

Our website is hosted in Switzerland by Infomaniak. The data relevant to your account is accessible to our authorized employees and to the relevant service providers: IT, payments, shipping, installation, the manufacturer, accounting, and professional consultants. The authorities receive the information required by law.

The services used also involve data processing abroad. Mailjet states that data is stored in Germany and Belgium. PostFinance Checkout uses Wallee and AWS for data storage in Ireland, as well as Cloudflare, which is based in the United States. PayPal handles Swiss accounts through PayPal Pte. Ltd. in Singapore and also processes data in the United States.

Google and Meta’s services involve, among others, Ireland and the United States; Ahrefs, Singapore and the United States; and Weglot, France, Germany, and U.S. service providers. Odoo SA is based in Belgium and discloses the locations where its services are produced, backed up, and supported in its privacy policy.

The transfer safeguards announced by service providers include, depending on the recipient, standard contractual clauses or the Swiss–U.S. Data Privacy Framework for entities and data covered by certification. Their notices and commitments specify these mechanisms, particularly those of Google, Meta, Odoo , and Sinch (the Mailjet Group). You may contact us for further details regarding the recipients and the applicable safeguards.

6 Storage and Safety

We retain data for as long as necessary to process requests, fulfill contracts, manage warranties and after-sales service, comply with the law, or preserve relevant evidence. Accounting records subject to legal requirements are retained for ten years from the end of the relevant fiscal year. After you unsubscribe from a newsletter, the minimum amount of information necessary to honor your request may be retained.

We restrict access to those who need it and implement security measures appropriate to the risks to protect data from loss, alteration, and unauthorized access.

7 Your Rights

Subject to the conditions and limitations provided by law, you may request access to your data, its correction, or its deletion; object to its processing; and obtain its return or transfer. You may withdraw any consent you have given, effective for the future.

Requests for access are generally processed free of charge within thirty days. If this deadline cannot be met, we will let you know when a response will be provided. You may also contact the Federal Data Protection and Transparency Commissioner and pursue the legal remedies provided by law.
